Bellevue Arts Museum received a donation of $500,000 from the Norcliffe Foundation to update the Museum’s facilities and systems. With this contribution, BAM will upgrade outdated technology, maintenance that has been needed for the past 20 years, and improve guest accommodations with new furnishings and signage.
“We are so grateful to our friends at The Norcliffe Foundation for this extraordinary show of support,” says BAM’s Executive Director & Chief Curator Benedict Heywood. “This award will enable Bellevue Arts Museum to continue showcasing the exceptional talent of the artists that live and work in our community. With this support, we will be able to secure the equipment required to produce thought provoking and noteworthy exhibitions for years to come.”
In the time of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the significant investment in the Museum helps to reinforce the sustainability and longevity of arts organizations. The gift from The Norcliffe Foundation will ensure that BAM can continue to serve its community in the future.
The Norcliffe Foundation is a private nonprofit family foundation that supports human services, healthcare, civic and community projects, educations, and arts and culture.
The article says “BAM will upgrade outdated technology, maintenance that has been needed for the past 20 years”. I don’t get it – the present location opened Jan 2001 – that’s 19 years ago.
