The blogger, Globe Trotter Travel, who has over 60,000 followers on social media, recently visited Washington on a mission to name the top ten magical winter destinations in the state. They highlighted Bellevue as being a must-visit place during winter months.
According to the blog, “A perfect alternative providing big-city adventures with quaint town feels is the city of Bellevue, Washington. For the largest ice skating rink area, Bellevue Downtown Ice Rink presented by Symetra, Mini Mountain for skiing and snowboarding, and a string of lodges available for cross-country skiing, and sledding, Bellevue has opportunities galore for adventure seekers.”
It then goes on to explain, “Even though it’s a small town, Bellevue Square, Lincoln Square, and The Bellevue Collection are perfect places for chic shopping. Gorge on some croissants, warm bread, and butter coffee at Cépaé Tasting Room in freezing winter. Or head towards Café Trophy, famous for Valrhona chocolate cake topped with Nutella buttercream, and Fern Thai, famous for its authentic spicy Thai food, are other options.”
Alpine Meadows Christmas Tree Farm was named the number one destination on their list, and ranking 10th was Leavenworth. To name one of our favorite destinations to visit for a more local getaway, Suncadia took the eighth spot on the list.
