The well-known Indian restaurant in downtown Bellevue, Chutneys, is now (re)open and welcoming customers. The eatery temporarily closed in mid-2023 to remodel its current space after two decades since first opening.
One year ago, Chutneys expanded their menu with additional food options and light bites. Some new items include achari malai soya chaap and loaded pav bhaji.
Ownership of Chutneys was taken over by Suhani and Yogesh Nagpal. As told by Nagpal, “The original owner of 25 years was ready to retire and personally reached out to Yogesh for a one-year trial-run. If that went well, we would be given the opportunity to purchase the restaurant, which happened as of recently.”
Yogesh previously owned multiple restaurants in India. The married couple also own and run a successful Indian restaurant in Bothell.
The Nagpals wanted to bring their own design, revamp the interior, and give the restaurant a modern touch. The new design is a modern-bistro style.
Chutneys in Bellevue is located at 938 110th Avenue Northeast. The restaurant offers lunch and dinner, with online ordering as an option.
Lunch and dinner are available seven days a week. Hours of operation are Sunday through Thursday from 11:15am to 2:30pm and 5pm to 9:30pm, and Friday through Saturday from 11:15am to 2:30pm and 5pm to 11:30pm.
