A groundbreaking new concept in community living is set to debut in downtown Bellevue this summer. The Watermark at Bellevue, known for its Assisted Living and Memory Care apartments, is expanding its campus to introduce an intergenerational living experience. Located next to the existing Watermark facilities, the Broadstone Savoie will offer 190 luxury multifamily units, with leasing now open to the public.
What sets this development apart is its emphasis on fostering connections across generations. The layout is designed to facilitate friendships and mentorships between residents of all ages. This intergenerational approach has been shown to benefit both young people and seniors, providing opportunities for learning, socializing, and staying active, according to The Watermark’s press release.
Scheduled to open its doors in summer 2024, Broadstone Savoie will offer a range of living options, from studios to two-bedroom townhomes. Each unit features modern amenities, including air conditioning, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops, and wood-style flooring.
The community will include many amenities designed to enhance residents’ quality of life. From a welcoming lobby offering complimentary coffee and pastries to a rooftop patio with BBQ grills and a fitness center, there will be a number of opportunities for relaxation and recreation.
In addition to the public-facing bistro, Evergreen Point Bistro, residents will have access to a range of culinary experiences, from fine dining at The Mark to Mediterranean cuisine at Taboon. Skyline Lounge will offer city views along with drinks and bites, while Vue provides an elegant setting for private dining with panoramic vistas of Mount Rainier and the Cascades.
The Watermark at Bellevue’s expanded campus will also include 155 Independent Living apartments in a 22-story high-rise building, along with 110 Assisted Living apartments and 26 Memory Care apartments. A public plaza will connect Broadstone Savoie with the existing facilities, creating a seamless integration.
The recent opening of North of Main, a traditional coffee shop at The Watermark at Bellevue, further reinforces the community’s dedication to fostering connections between residents of all ages. Serving locally roasted coffee from Z Street Coffee and freshly baked pastries, North of Main transitions into a leasing gallery for the Independent Living building in the afternoons, providing prospective residents with a taste of the community’s vibrant lifestyle.
