On Saturday, May 18, the City of Bellevue is welcoming its newest Bellevue neighborhood with the Spring District Family Festival. Located at the Spring District Plaza on 12167 NE 14th Terrace, the festivities begin at 11:30 am and end at 2:00 pm.
From games for kids and adults to food trucks, and live music, the event offers an introduction to the Spring District’s charm.
Children and families can participate in activities brought by KidsQuest Children’s Museum, while can play portable games and puzzles courtesy of Reality Break Escapes. Representatives from the city’s Transportation, Utilities, and Community Development departments will be on hand to provide important information about city resources.
Attendees are encouraged to ride the new 2 Line light rail, conveniently stopping at the Spring District. For those driving, reach out to Neighborhood Outreach ([email protected] or 425-452-6836) about free parking or rail tickets.
The event will also have live music acts including Mambo Cadillac with their Latin beats and Club Furcula with indie rock vibes.
The Spring District has undergone a remarkable transformation since the implementation of zoning and code changes in 2009 to promote transit-oriented development. The festival offers an opportunity for the entire Eastside community to witness the district’s buildings, eateries, and businesses.
