Women’s clothing retailer Reformation is set to open a new store at Bellevue Square. The location will be on the first floor, directly across from Beyond Yoga. This marks Reformation’s first presence on the Eastside, with another store located at University Village in Seattle.
Reformation is recognized for its sustainable fashion approach, producing its clothing designs from vintage pieces and repurposed fabrics. The store’s inventory includes a variety of items such as shoes, bags, dresses, tops, pants, two-piece sets, and a collection for petites.
The company was founded by Yael Aflalo, a California native and entrepreneur, in 2009. Initially, Reformation began as a small Los Angeles storefront specializing in retailored vintage clothing.
The new Bellevue location will take over the space previously occupied by UpWest, a store known for its comfort-focused apparel and mindful materials. UpWest moved into Bellevue Square in July 2023 but filed for bankruptcy less than a year later, leading to its closure. Before UpWest, the site housed Hanna Andersson, which transitioned to an online-only model during the pandemic.
