TravisMathew, the popular California-inspired apparel brand, is set to open a new store at Bellevue Square. According to a building application submitted to the City of Bellevue, the new store will take over the space previously occupied by Timberland on the second floor. The retail space is 2,925 square feet and will undergo an interior remodel.
The Bellevue Square location marks the first TravisMathew store in Washington state. With nearly 60 stores across the US, this expansion continues the brand’s rapid growth, supported by its strong appeal in the golf and activewear market.
In 2024, TravisMathew plans to open five more locations, contributing to the brand’s goal of reaching 57 stores by the end of the year, according to Chip Brewer, President and CEO of TopGolf Callaway Brands, which acquired TravisMathew in 2017.
TravisMathew’s product offerings include both men’s and women’s apparel, with a focus on stylish, comfortable clothing inspired by Southern California’s surf, sand, and sun lifestyle.
The brand, founded in 2007, has become known for its modern designs and premium fabrics, which cater to those seeking elevated everyday style, especially in the golf and leisure wear segments. Women’s apparel, introduced in 2022, has quickly gained traction, with reports indicating it now accounts for nearly 10% of the company’s revenue.
The space formerly occupied by Timberland, which reopened in Bellevue Square in 2016 after an initial closure in 2008, previously sold boots, shoes, clothing, and accessories.
