Zoom, the well-known videoconferencing technology company, is set to lease office space in downtown Bellevue, as indicated by city permits. The company will occupy one floor of the Symetra Center, located on 108th Avenue Northeast.
“We chose to locate our newest office in the Seattle area due to the region’s vast history of innovation and its prominent role in the evolution of AI,” said Alana Collins, Head of Real Estate and Workplace at Zoom. “This move is a testament to our investment in fostering AI talent and driving engagement and collaboration as we redefine the future of productivity with Zoom’s AI Companion. Together, our team in the region will be focused on building a better work environment for years to come.”
The company will occupy the 19th floor of the building, covering approximately 18,943 square feet. The space has been recently renovated with modern tech-inspired finishes.
“We are delighted to welcome Zoom to the Symetra Center. This lease, in addition to strong interest from other top-tier tenants, underscores the impact of SRO’s substantial investment in reimagining the lobby and exterior plazas. These enhancements have transformed Symetra Center into one of the most sought-after office destinations in the region,” stated SRO Vice President and Chief Investment Officer, Whit Hamlin.
Symetra Center, a 25-story building, offers convenient access to the East Link light rail station, along with nearby shopping and dining options. On-site amenities include electric vehicle charging stations, Café Hagen—a Scandinavian-inspired café—and fitness facilities with showers.
The recent renovations that the building underwent were intended to cater to the needs of today’s workforce, drawing inspiration from the hospitality sector. This includes the use of luxurious, natural materials and a lobby featuring a series of living rooms with versatile, comfortable seating areas ideal for meetings, work, or relaxation. The private booths offer more secluded spaces for those seeking a quieter setting.
Symetra Center, managed by Broderick Group, currently has additional floors available for lease, with a total of 71,416 square feet of space. The building’s leasing brokers are Grant Yerke and Matt Schreck.
This marks Zoom’s first office in the Puget Sound region. The company is headquartered in San Jose, California.
Café Hagen opened in September 2024 in the retail space of Symetra Center. The café features Scandinavian-inspired coffee from Hagen Coffee Roasters. The menu highlights Scandinavian-style dishes and snacks, offering breakfast, brunch, lunch, specialty coffee, wine, and cocktails. Known for its emphasis on homemade baked goods, the café uses traditional Scandinavian pastry recipes, house-made sauces and syrups, and freshly prepared brunch items.
