Aerie, a sub-brand of American Eagle Outfitters, is set to open its first Eastside location at Bellevue Square. The new store will be located on the second level of the shopping center, marking an expansion of the brand’s presence in the area.
Aerie specializes in a variety of women’s clothing, including intimates, activewear, loungewear, and accessories. While the brand caters to all ages, its primary demographic appears to be women between the ages of 15 and 25. Unlike its parent company, American Eagle Outfitters, which offers a broader range of clothing for both men and women, Aerie focuses on comfort-driven, body-positive fashion.
American Eagle Outfitters currently operates a store on the first level of Bellevue Square. The store underwent a remodel in 2019 and continues to offer a selection of clothing and accessories, including shirts, pants, pajamas, jackets, and swimwear.
Aerie has gained recognition for its commitment to inclusivity and sustainability through the #AerieReal movement, which promotes body positivity and women’s empowerment.
The brand incorporates sustainable practices by using recycled polyester and nylon fabric, as well as sustainably sourced cotton, in its collections. Additionally, Aerie prioritizes water-saving techniques and reducing its carbon footprint as part of its environmental initiatives.
