Jeff Bezos has sold his waterfront property in Hunts Point for $63 million, marking a new record for the most expensive residential real estate transaction in Washington State. The transaction was first reported by the Puget Sound Business Journal.
Bezos originally purchased the property, located at 4053 Hunts Point Road, in 2019 for $37.5 million. That sale also set a record at the time. According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, Bezos acquired the home through an entity called Hunts Point Properties Trust. The buyer in the most recent sale was listed as Cayan Investments LLC.
In 2023, Business Insider reported that Bezos owned a portfolio of properties in the Seattle area, including the Hunts Point home. The property was previously owned by the late Barney Ebsworth, an art collector.
Public records show the main residence on the property is 9,420 square feet and sits along 300 feet of Lake Washington shoreline. The home includes three bedrooms and 4.25 bathrooms.
Features of the property include a rooftop deck with a fireplace, a catering kitchen separate from the main kitchen, an elevator, and a glass bridge leading to a two-story guesthouse. The home was built in 2003.
In November 2023, Bezos announced he would be relocating from the Seattle region to Indian Creek, a private island near Miami, Florida. He has since purchased two homes there for $79 million and $68 million, according to public records.
Good Riddance!
