Bellevue residents are invited to help name the city’s newest public park, located at the corner of Main Street and 112th Avenue Southeast. The 1.75-acre is located above Sound Transit’s Downtown transit tunnel portal near the southeast edge of downtown Bellevue.
Following the completion of the transit project, Sound Transit officially transferred the site to Bellevue Parks & Community Services in late 2024 for long-term operation and maintenance. Currently open to the public, the park offers walking paths, seating areas, and green landscaping. The park also serves as a pedestrian link between Main Street, 112th Avenue, and the nearby East Main light rail station.
The City of Bellevue is asking community members to submit name ideas for the new park. Suggested names will be reviewed using five criteria outlined in the city’s official naming policy, which can be found on the city’s website. The Parks & Community Services Board will review submissions and recommend a final name to the Bellevue City Council for adoption.
Residents can submit their ideas through an online survey, open now through April 26, 2025.
