Infrared Fitness Studio Oxygen Yoga & Fitness to Open in Bellevue with Free Classes

A new fitness studio is set to open in Bellevue, as Oxygen Yoga & Fitness officially launches its local location on April 6. The studio will bring a mix of yoga, strength training, and recovery-focused classes to the area, all delivered in a far infrared heated environment.

The Bellevue location marks the first U.S. studio for the ownership team. Co-owner Lisa brings more than 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership, along with a background as a licensed paramedic and advanced education in epidemiology and biostatistics. She was previously involved with Oxygen Yoga & Fitness in Canada, including ownership of a location in Kamloops and participation in the Okanagan master franchise.

Co-owner Skye’s path into the fitness industry began after a car accident, when she initially turned to the gym for rehabilitation. That experience evolved into a long-term focus on health and movement, eventually leading her to the Oxygen Yoga & Fitness brand through personal use and community connections.

The Bellevue studio was selected as an opportunity to establish a presence in the U.S. market while building on an existing foundation. According to the ownership team, the goal is to create a space that goes beyond a traditional workout environment, with a focus on consistency, connection, and overall wellness.

Oxygen Yoga & Fitness offers a range of class formats, including yoga flow, hatha, deep stretch, sculpt, and fusion-style classes that combine elements of strength training and Pilates-inspired movement. Classes are designed to be accessible to a wide range of participants, from beginners to more experienced clients, with instructors providing modifications to accommodate different fitness levels.

A defining feature of the studio is its use of far infrared heat. Unlike traditional heated fitness classes that warm the air, infrared systems use radiant heat designed to penetrate the body more directly. This approach is commonly associated with benefits such as increased circulation, muscle recovery, and relaxation, while providing a more moderate and less humid environment compared to conventional heated studios.

The class schedule is structured to accommodate a variety of routines, with early morning sessions beginning around 6 a.m., along with midday and evening options extending into the night. The studio is also designed as a full-service space, offering amenities such as showers, changing areas, and on-site essentials to support members throughout the day.

To mark the opening, the Bellevue studio is offering a founding membership rate of $49 bi-weekly for unlimited classes, available through April 6. Following the opening, standard membership pricing is expected to increase to $69 bi-weekly. The studio also plans to host a “Karma Week” during its grand opening, offering free classes for those interested in trying different formats and experiencing the space.

Oxygen Yoga & Fitness is a woman-owned brand led by CEO Jen Hamilton. Since 2011, the company has expanded from its Canadian origins into an international fitness franchise, with locations across Canada and the United States and continued growth into additional global markets.
