A waterfront estate in Hunts Point has sold for $38 million, according to public records, closing $47 million below its original asking price of $85 million.
The property, located at 3858 Hunts Point Road, sold on April 30, 2026. It sits on a 4.3-acre waterfront lot on Lake Washington and includes an 11,450-square-foot home with five bedrooms and eight bathrooms.
The estate first hit the market in 2022 at $85 million, making it the most expensive residential listing in the Seattle area at the time.
Owned by telecom billionaire Bruce McCaw and philanthropist Jolene McCaw, the home was originally built in 1995 for musician Kenny G and designed by architect Richard Landry. The property includes a main residence along with a beach house, staff quarters, pool cabana, tennis court, and private moorage for a yacht and seaplane.
Over the years, the estate has changed hands only a few times. Kenny G sold it in 1999 to Craig McCaw, Bruce McCaw’s brother, before it was later transferred within the McCaw family.
While the $38 million sale ranks among the highest residential transactions in the Hunts Point and Eastside luxury market, it is not a statewide record. The Washington state record remains the $63 million sale of Jeff Bezos’ former Hunts Point estate in 2025, which set a new benchmark for residential real estate in the state.
Data from regional housing reports has shown a slowdown in Seattle’s luxury market in recent years, driven by higher interest rates and reduced high-end sales activity.
