Starwood Hotels & Resorts & Kemper Development Co. announced the luxury hotel brand, W Hotels will open within the Bellevue Collection expansion project Spring (May) of 2017. W Bellevue is planned to have 245 modern guest rooms. There will be 25 suites, and an Extreme Wow Suite. The hotel will have 11,400 square feet of modern meeting and event space, a FIT state-of-the-art workout facility and 3 restaurants and bars. The ground floor of the hotel will feature a destination bar and the second floor will feature the W Living Room (also known as the hotel lobby).
The W Bellevue Living Room will be the center piece of the hotel, which includes the signature Living Room Bar, a library stocked with pulp fiction novels, an oversized fireplace that has hints of traditional lodges and an outdoor terrace featuring modern porch swings and a pool table. As the renderings of the interior are finalized they will be available for public release.
“W Hotels has had a successful presence in Seattle for more than 15 years, and with the opening of W Bellevue, we will once again reinvent the hospitality landscape in this premier Eastside entertainment and shopping destination, offering a bold and modern luxury experience for both guests and locals alike,” said Anthony Ingham, Vice President, W Hotels Worldwide in North America.
“W Bellevue is being designed with a unique narrative that represents our Eastside community,” says Kemper Freeman, Chairman and CEO, KDC. “The hotel’s cutting-edge design brings our community’s heritage into modern times with a contemporary interpretation of the joy and wonder that we all feel in a welcoming lakeside summer house. This hotel will truly represent all that we celebrate about our community and will bring an amped up W energy to Bellevue.”
Is that another movie theater in the retail podium?
did anyone proofread this?
+1.
Michael, you do a great job with the blog but unfortunately writing is not one of your strengths. I would highly recommend you have a second pair of eyes proofread and edit your posts before you submit them.
Just some constructive feedback. Keep up the good work.
Really excited to see the W Hotel announced, I couldn’t think of a better hotel fit for the expansion. Now if they could only speed up the building…I don’t want to wait 2 years!
@Mark, clearly was moving way to fast after the announcement yesterday! Made a couple of edits so it reads better 😉 Thanks for the feedback, it’s always welcome.
I look forward to see the renderings of the space.
Any rumors on what restaurants will be going into the W Bellevue?
