Only in Bellevue would you get issued with a parking ticket that has no price associated with it.
Yes, this is no joke; I brought a friend to his car this weekend, which had been parked on a public street in Downtown Bellevue in a 2 hour zone for 6 hours, clearly a violation. When pulling up to his car, he was irritated, yet understanding to see a parking ticket on his windshield.
After closely examining the ticket he realized that the “Penalty” showed as “$0”. He was thrilled that he would not be charged for this infraction. If motorists aren’t being charged for this type parking violation…what are they being charged for?
I’m not one to encourage giving out tickets, but if the city is struggling to fund any of their projects, and can’t find the money for it…I suggest they begin charging parking offenders for their infractions.
