Bravern Tree lighting ceremony BellevueThe Bravern will celebrate the holiday season in Downtown Bellevue with a tree-lighting ceremony, pony rides, and a visit from Santa this month.

The shopping center is inviting the public to its second annual tree-lighting ceremony, as part of “Enchanted Holidays at The Bravern,” from 5-8pm on Friday, Nov. 18. Santa will arrive in a horse-drawn carriage to light the 35-foot tree at 6pm.

The event features The Dickens Carolers and music by Bells of the Sound, Captain Smarty Pants, and Sensible Shoes. The Bravern will provide pony rides for children as well as hot beverages. Donations will be accepted for The Moyer Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps children in distress.

“Enchanted Holidays” will also offer photos with Santa from noon to 6pm Wednesday through Sunday, Nov. 25-Dec. 13, and daily from Dec. 14-24. Pony rides will be available from noon to 6pm on weekends from Nov. 26-Dec. 24.

The Bravern is located at the intersection of NE 8th Street and 110th Avenue NE.

  1. This is ludicrous. Why do retailers keep making Christmas start earlier?

  2. I think it’s smart that they keep it off the same day as the Bellevue Collection’s Snowflake Lane.
