Cinemark Lincoln Square Cinemas & IMAX in Downtown Bellevue.
Sixteen screens and the Eastside’s first IMAX on the third floor of Lincoln Square North — downtown Bellevue’s movie theater since 2005, with the 21-and-over Cinemark Reserve across the street.
Cinemark Lincoln Square is downtown Bellevue’s movie theater: 16 screens and roughly 3,500 seats on the third level of Lincoln Square North, above the shops on the corner of NE 8th Street and Bellevue Way, with the Eastside’s first IMAX auditorium in Theatre 15. It opened on December 9, 2005, as Lincoln Square Cinemas, the anchor of what Kemper Development built as the Collection’s entertainment wing — the same building that holds Din Tai Fung at street level and Lucky Strike one floor below the screens.
DBN has covered it from the start: the Harry Potter weekend in 2007 when the two-year-old theater out-grossed all but eight theaters in the country, the March 2009 IMAX opening and the projector that failed on night one, the Michael Jackson premiere we co-hosted that fall. In 2016 Kemper announced a second Cinemark for the new South tower, and in August 2017 Cinemark Reserve opened there: six auditoriums of Luxury Lounger recliners, a full kitchen and bar with seat-side service, and a 21-and-over door. Both went dark for nearly a year in 2020 and came back in the spring of 2021.
The two work as a pair. The North theater is where you take the kids, see the tentpole in IMAX, and pay for a matinee; Reserve across the street is the dinner-and-a-movie in one recliner. For what else fills a night in the neighborhood, see our guide to things to do in Bellevue.

Getting There & When to Go
The theater sits on top of the Collection’s busiest corner; by car it is the garage below, on foot it is the escalators.
Getting There & Parking
- Drive: Park in the Lincoln Square garage and bring the ticket up: on weekdays until eight in the evening the first three hours are free with validation from the theater, and after that, plus all day Saturday and Sunday, parking is free with no validation, per The Bellevue Collection. Bellevue Square’s garages across Bellevue Way are free anytime and connect by the sky bridge. For Cinemark Reserve, use the Lincoln Square South garage near the W hotel; the same validation rules apply.
- Light rail: 2 Line to Bellevue Downtown Station, then a roughly 12-minute walk west along NE 8th Street; Lincoln Square North is the tower on the southeast corner at Bellevue Way — see our light rail guide
- On foot: From Bellevue Square, the sky bridge over Bellevue Way lands you inside Lincoln Square North; from the street lobby take the escalators to Level 3. Din Tai Fung is at street level and Lucky Strike is on Level 2 of the same building.
Best Times to Go
Opening weekends and Friday and Saturday evenings are the crush, and IMAX seats for a tentpole go first, so buy ahead. Weekday matinees and Sunday evenings are the calm version of the same screens. Rainy weekends and the holiday break fill the garage as well as the theater; arrive early or come by light rail. Reserve is busiest on weekend evenings and quietest midweek.
Make It a Night
You are inside the Collection’s entertainment wing: pair the movie with dumplings at Din Tai Fung at street level in the same building, a few frames at Lucky Strike one level down, 21 and over later at night, or a late plate at Earls Kitchen + Bar downstairs on Bellevue Way.
Good to Know
