seattlemetbellevue2February’s issue of Seattle Metropolitan Magazine features the Eastside, and more specifically, Downtown Bellevue as its cover story. The cover’s headline implies a competition between Seattle and Bellevue by stating, “Look out, Seattle. Bellevue is gaining on you.”

The article focuses on both the retail, and mixed-use projects that will be complete in the next few years on the Eastside. Many familiar with the Eastside and Downtown Bellevue may not find any revelations within the article, but the article but is a good overview of the type of growth that the Eastside has had and will have.

You can begin reading the article on Seattle Metropolitan’s site, but you’ll have to pick up an issue to read the whole story.

  2. I’m so unbelievably happy that I moved up to Snohomish County from the Eastside. You can keep your ugly pseudo-urbanism. Your hideous towers, your throngs of unsightly people walking around. Seriously, anybody else look at large crowds of people and see how ugly common people are? Just gross. I’ll take my REAL Seattle lifestyle. Quietness, Scando-Japanese reserve, surrounded by evergreens, rivers, and mountains. You can have your King County urbanism until you get sick of the ugly people.

  3. you can read the whole issue at http://www.seattlemet.com, actually 🙂
