Barrio BellevueWelcome Barrio to the Neighborhood
Barrio, which is Spanish for “neighborhood,” is now open and part of the Downtown Bellevue neighborhood. Barrio brings a simple and seasonal Northwest style to inspired, traditional Mexican dishes and well-crafted cocktails. Bellevue’s newest restaurant will seat 130 and will serve brunch, lunch, and dinner.  Happy Hour at Barrio takes place daily from 3:00pm – 6:00pm.

On your first visit to Barrio in Bellevue you’ll notice the breathtaking wall of over 200 candles, which we found out are hand lit every day (we were told this process takes at least an hour each day; wow!). This contemporary and upbeat restaurant adds some great character to the base of Bellevue Towers, which will be joined by Purple Café and Wine Bar next month.

Win a Barrio Gift Card!
To celebrate the Barrio grand opening, we are giving away 2 $50 gift cards. To have an opportunity to win one of the gift cards, please send an email to info@downtownbellevue.com and mention the date that Barrio was first announced on our Website.  Winners will be chosen at random (assuming they have the right answer) and notified on Tuesday the 29th.

  1. 0mg that’s a lot of candles. So is this place any good? Anyone eaten there yet? Is the food as pretentious as the # of candles?

  2. bl@ster – I’ve eaten there, and the food is is fresh & authentic with the atmosphere to match. Out of all the restaurants opening I’ve been most excited about Barrio, I would highly suggest going.

  3. Going to do a tasting of their tequilas in another week or so — can’t wait! The interiors are gorgeous and the food is perfect for the incoming autumn. Looking forward to grabbing a bite there this week!

  4. It was mentioned on Q13 Fox. Looked great.

  5. If Barrio is anywhere near as good as Purple, then i’m sure it will be great. I’m looking forward to checking it out.
