Disney Store Bellevue SquareThis week Disney announced plans for new store openings in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, and Europe. As a part of these announcements it was communicated that there will be a new Bellevue Square Disney Store opening in 2011.

Disney is no stranger to Bellevue Square, as they have had two different locations at the mall in the past.

The other new store that was announced in the region was for Southcenter Mall. Currently the only Disney Store in the area is at Alderwood Mall.

  1. they’re coming back??

  2. If I had to guess, I’d say the new store is most likely going to be in the old Martin + Osa space (most recently Macy’s Holiday Lane), since it’s really the only vacancy in the mall big enough for a place like that. It looks like construction walls just went up on that space too, so it looks like they’re already starting on it.

  3. That’s a good guess. Not a prime location, as far as traffic, but good size store.

  4. How about the ex-Movado location? There’s the small kids play area there (or at least used to be) and the Lego store is nearby too. The traffic on the corridor in front of Martin+Osa feels lighter than the rest of the mall for some reason.

  5. That location is occupied currently. I think the Disney stores are generally larger than that too.

  6. Welcome back! If you dream it, you can do it.

  7. I just went by the old Martin + Osa space, and it’s boarded up with Talbots posters. Maybe the Disney Store will take the Talbots current store…

  8. Disney store is going to be downstairs by Macy’s

  9. @Jennifer: I saw that. It seemed to come out of nowhere. I didn’t know that the store it replaced was only supposed to be temporary.
