The City of Bellevue announced this week that a new Marriott hotel will be built on a vacant one-acre site at 200 110th Avenue NE in downtown Bellevue.

An entity related to Indiana-based White/Peterman Properties, Inc. purchased the site for $15 million last week, according to a press statement.

The 17-story hotel will feature 378 rooms, an indoor pool, a fitness center, 22,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space, and an underground parking garage and podium.

The city has received all the building permits for this project and expects construction to begin late this year.

  1. You guys need to cite your sources and credit the original source of your news. This entry was ripped straight from the DJC. Rearranging some sentences and rewording a few things does not make it an original story. This is far from the first time too, the majority of your news blog entries are stolen from other sites and never credited.

  2. Is this the space across from Bravern? I got excited when I saw headline, was hoping WA SQ finally inked a deal for parking lot at NE 8th and 106th.

  3. Per Google Maps 200 110th Ave is where Baby & Toys R US is.

  4. I don’t see how this massive complex will fit in such a small parcel of land.

  5. Justin – I’m guessing that all of them (DJC, this site and several others with eerily similar wording and the same image) are rewording something off pr newswire or from the press office of the city and all got them simultaneously or close to it.

  6. This is a vacant lot between Abella Condos and the chop shop car dealership on 100th. The land was purchased a few years ago for a hotel and they ended up not constructing it. Now it looks like Marriott is going to build instead. Check out this link for other projects in downtown. I’m not looking forward to the noise outside my apartment.

  8. Does anyone know if construction has commenced on this project? If not has a revised start date been announced?

  9. Terry, AFAIK.. the project is still in review at the city. It should get approved in a couple of months. After that it’s anybody’s guess at this point when they would actually start the construction.

  10. Excavation started at the site of the Marriott on 110th last week.
