Local Bellevue Students Pitch Business Ideas in Hopes to Gain Funding and Launch Business

Bellevue School District students in middle school and high school are participating in the 4th annual class of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!). These students, which make up 11 new companies will pitch their business ideas to an investor panel in the hopes of getting their companies funded.

The event will take place at Bellevue City Hall Council Chambers (450 110th Ave NE) on Wednesday, April 19 from 5:00 – 7:30 P.M. YEA! is a Bellevue Chamber Foundation. There is a suggested donation of $25 per person to attend the event. For more information visit the event website for details.

The YEA! program is funded by the support of Columbia Bank & KeyBank.  The education curriculum takes students in grades six through twelve through the processes of starting and running real businesses. The hope is that at the end of the program students can take the business and carry it on after graduation.
