Meydenbauer Center Theatre began showcasing new arts and entertainment options in downtown Bellevue this past week. Performances range from the national touring company of The Second City, to popular Vancouver, Canada based stomp-grass group The Paperboys.
The first year of the theatre opening will be focused on engaging audiences with popular live music, family programming and comedy. According to Meydenbauer Center Director of Facility Services, Jeff Vaughan, “we want to offer great additional arts and entertainment options that connects with residents, contributes to a vibrant downtown and builds community close to home.”
The theatre opened in 1995 to serve as a key community asset for local arts and entertainment for Bellevue. The space seats up to 410 guests and supports a wide range of performances and events in Bellevue. Over 130 performances are held at Meydenbauer Center annually attended by about 40,000 guests each year.
