Hai Di Lao, the popular hot pot chain, just opened their second location in Washington at Bellevue Pacific Center. The new Bellevue spot is located at 188 106th Avenue Northeast.

The hot pot restaurant features noodles, vegetables, meat, fish, and tofu that is cooked in steaming pots of broth at the table, with eight dipping sauce options. Offered on the menu is the signature hot pot- tomato soup base, classic spicy soup base, mushroom soup base, and more. There are also snack options like Chinese fried dough stick with fennel, egg fried rice, and deep-fried crispy pork.

Along with the food, there will also be entertainment like staffers dancing with hand-made noodles.

According to a quote from the Wall Street Journal, Owner Zhang Yong said that “Americans are a very curious group of people… Whatever they want is what I’ll give them.” He plans to change his business model to appeal to American audiences.

Hai Di Lao has 75 locations in China and Singapore. They first opened their doors in 1994. Their first location opened in Seattle at Pacific Place in September.

Soft opening hours are daily from 11am to 2pm and 5pm to 8pm. The restaurant is open for takeout and delivery.
