Bellevue Investors IV LLC, which is a part of Vulcan Real Estate, recently applied to the City of Bellevue for design review approval of a 180-unit apartment building. The proposed structure is located in Downtown Bellevue, at 201 106th Avenue Northeast and Northeast 2nd Street.

The proposed new construction of a mid-rise multifamily residential building features 182 units, amenities, below-grade parking for 160 vehicles, and ground-floor retail. The building will be eight stories in total.

The 201 106th Avenue Northeast project would include the demolition of the existing structures; Taco Time, Michael’s Fine Dry Cleaning, and Roses & Kennedy Lamp & Shade. According to City of Bellevue documents, the businesses will relocate prior to the development.

Encore Architects is designing the project. They have also designed other apartment buildings in Bellevue like Blu and Surrey on Main.

Construction is slated to begin in August 2022, and completion is planned to be in 2024.

The application will be reviewed and considered on May 13.

Vulcan Real Estate has another project a few blocks down the street on 106th, called “Bellevue Plaza”. The half-block development is going to feature north and south towers that are 17-stories, and a middle that is 15-stories. There is going to be almost one million square feet of office space and about 30,000 square feet of retail space. The location was previously Toy’s Cafe, Jimmy John’s, and Jiffy Lube, amongst other businesses.

Bellevue is doing such a stellar job with development in the city! This particular new building will have 182 units and only 160 spaces for cars. So not only are we cramming more and more people in this densely populated area, we are not providing parking for most! Let’s build more and more like this and then our city can grind to a halt and it will take an hour to get from Bellevue Way to any freeway!! Yay Bellevue!
