The Bellevue Fire Department mobile vaccination team is opening pop-up clinics at busy locations in Bellevue. This is a part of a county effort to deliver COVID-19 vaccines to more people.
The first pop-up is tomorrow at Bellevue Downtown Park from 9:30am to 3pm. The clinic will be located in the parking lot on the west side of the park.
Vaccines will be available for walk-ups up people ages 18 and over. Making an appointment is not necessary.
Moderna first or second shots are being offered, as well as Johnson & Johnson shots. For those who choose to have a Moderna shot, they will receive directions on how to receive their second dose through the state Department of Health.
People with mobility challenges can text 425-614-9936 from their car at the pop-up site. Mobile team members will come to their car to administer the dose.
A little more than half of eligible Washingtonians have received at least one vaccine shot. The pop-up represents Public Health’s goal to “meet people where they are.”
Additional pop-up clinics are scheduled for Wednesday, May 12, and Friday, May 14. They are both from 9:30am until 3pm at Crossroads Park.
