Ruth's Chris Steak House Bellevue

According to their website, Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Downtown Bellevue is permanently closed. It was located at Bellevue Square. The restaurant opened in 2002.

The chain restaurant is known for its finest cuts of USDA Prime beef, award-winning wines, and happy hour.

Ruth’s Chris posted a message on their website saying that the Bellevue location is permanently closed. They thanked the community and said that they look forward to serving customers at their other steak houses.

In a press release written in March 2020, Ruth’s Chris Hospitality Group, Inc., explained that the locations that closed did not have success with just takeout and delivery options. They closed 23 of its 135 restaurants in the United States as one of many measures to help their financial position. They detailed that the locations that closed did not have success with just takeout and delivery options. They also furloughed many team members and reduced the salaries of all staff.

CEO Cheryl Henry said, “our management team and Board of Directors have taken significant measures to enhance our financial flexibility during this time which includes drawing down and expanding our credit facility, suspending our dividend, and materially reducing capital expenditures as we weather the challenges related to COVID-19.”

The Seattle location is open, according to their website.
