The software company, Smartsheet, recently moved out of their designated headquarters in Downtown Bellevue at Bellevue Place. When employees choose to come into the office, they will be working from the City Center Bellevue tower.
According to a Smartsheet spokesperson, Smartsheet is currently assessing plans to reimagine its space in City Center Bellevue to better serve its employees and the types of interactions they want and need when coming into the office.
They will be subletting the office space. It is unknown who will be moving into Bellevue Place. This was one of their two locations in Bellevue.
Smartsheet made the decision to move out of Bellevue Place because one of their global focus areas this year is improving collaboration across their teams, both digitally and in their office spaces. With this goal in mind, their Real Estate and Workplace Services teams have continually assessed their office usage patterns and employee feedback.
The company’s workforce has more than doubled since pre-pandemic, growing from 1,608 in March 2020 to 3,296 today. However, the percentage of people who live within a commuting radius of their two largest US-based offices has declined.
