Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman, two former Seahawks players, are opening a new bar (“Legion”) in downtown Bellevue, according to a liquor license application that was submitted July 7, 2023. Chancellor and Sherman’s wives were also include on the application, along with Leilani Wong and Adam Willden. The lounge is located at Lincoln Square at 700 Bellevue Way Northeast.

According to the application, takeout and delivery will be available, as well as pre-mixed cocktails to-go. The lounge will offer spirits, beer, and wine.

Legion, the soon-to-be hang out spot in Bellevue, seems to be named after “Legion of Boom”. The bar that was previously in this space was relocated, along with interior wall updates and new furniture.

The total square footage of the project is 7,620 square feet and will include a dining room, bar, and private dinner space, according to the City of Bellevue. Renovations are currently underway.

Featuring soul food and creative cocktails, Legion is slated to open in September 2023, according to PSBJ.

Kirkland-based Sue Genty Interior Design created the interior space. The company also worked on other well-known buildouts like Farzi Cafe and Adrian’s Restaurant & Tequila Bar.

This location was previously occupied by Pearl Seafood and Oyster Bar, which closed during the pandemic. It first opened in November 2008 and never re-opened after being forced to shutter its doors. Before Pearl, this location was Trader Vic’s.
