Mochinut Bellevue Square

Beloved Japanese Mochi donut shop is planned to open at Bellevue Square. This will be its second location in Bellevue, with their other treat shop open in Crossroads.

As revealed through City of Bellevue permits, Mochinut will be located on the second level, where Freshii previously operated. it will be nestled between retail stores, Oil & Vinegar, and Auntie Anne’s. Freshii, the health-conscious eatery, first opened in 2016.

“We are thrilled to be extending our Mochinut family to Bellevue Square Mall,” shared a Mochinut representative when approached for confirmation, though an official opening date remains undisclosed.

Mochinut has been making waves since its original opening in South Lake Union, Seattle. With its hourly crafted Mochi donuts made from premium ingredients right within the store premises, these donuts, a fusion of American doughnut goodness with the chewy allure of Japanese Mochi, have garnered attention for their diverse flavors such as ube, taro, strawberry funnel, and churro. There are over 50 flavors to choose from.

Beyond their signature Mochi donuts, Mochinut’s menu includes multiple selections including Korean Rice Flour Hotdogs, Bubble Tea Drinks, and Soft Serve.

The Mochi donut originated from Hawaii, and has been gaining traction due to its unique shape and texture—crispy on the outside with a tender, chewy inside. Mochinut has carved a niche in this space.
