A new luxury jewelry store is set to open at Bellevue Square. Located on the first level, next to Warby Parker, Mejuri, known for its everyday wear, is planned to open in spring 2024.
The price point is affordable for everyday staples like stud earrings and simple necklaces. Materials are responsibly sourced or recycled.
According to their website, “Mejuri is the new luxury of online jewelry shops. The store features handcrafted pieces like bracelets and anklets, earrings, rings, and necklaces. They have pieces for both men and women.
This is the first of its kind to open in Bellevue. The other Mejuri is located at University Village in Seattle. In total, there are 29 locations worldwide.
The store was founded in 2015 in Canada. New products are released weekly and are designed in-house. The company makes products in limited quantities and only manufactures based on consumer demand, creating less waste.
Founder, Noura Sakkihja, comes from three generations in the jewelry industry. Her goal is to shift the focus from traditional archetypes of gifting jewelry, to being able to buy it for yourself.
Vince, the upscale clothing store, was previously open in this space and has since permanently closed at Bellevue Square. Currently, the nearest Vince retailer is the outlet store located in Marysville, Washington.
