Known for its high-end durable and functional bags, TOM BIHN is set to expand its made-in-Seattle company to Bellevue, according to a news release. It will be located at Bellevue Square on the first level, in what was previously the Frankie4 pop-up spot. This is the first flagship store to open for the brand.

Established in 1972, TOM BIHN has been creating premium, long-lasting bags in its Seattle-based facility for over four decades. While many similar brands have relocated their production or shifted it overseas, this company remains dedicated to the Seattle community. In demonstrating that commitment, TOM BIHN has recently extended its lease on its 22,000 square foot factory in Sodo for another decade, and is opening a new 1450 square foot retail outlet in Bellevue Square mall.

“We are thrilled to open our first retail store in Bellevue Square,” says CEO Cindy Guan. “This expansion is a significant milestone in our journey, and we are excited to continue connecting with our local Seattle community through a new retail presence.” `

TOM BIHN crafts its products in-house in Seattle, using premium materials and a team of 70 skilled artisans. Each item undergoes rigorous testing to ensure durability and functionality, backed by a lifetime warranty.

Committed to ethical practices, the company operates as a certified B Corporation, maintaining a supportive work environment with minimal turnover. Rejecting discounts and wholesale, the company prioritizes direct customer relationships, inviting visitors to its factory showroom. Their range includes versatile bags like the Synik 30 for everyday use, the Techonaut 45 for travel, and the Monster Truck tote for multi-purpose utility.

TOM BIHN is planned to open in summer 2024.
