TikTok, the popular social media platform, reportedly continues to expand its presence in downtown Bellevue. Situated at Lincoln Square North, owned by Kemper Development Company, the office now spans approximately 150,000 square feet at 10401 Northeast 8th Street.
The Broderick Group confirmed that floors nine and 11 through 16 have been leased. However, they were unable to reveal the tenant’s name.
Multiple media sources have indicated that TikTok is renting the space. PSBJ went as far as to report that an anonymous source confirmed the social media company’s expansion of office space at Lincoln Square North.
The space, previously occupied by Microsoft, became available when the tech giant decided to vacate its office at Lincoln Square North in December 2023.
In October 2023, the Broderick Group’s Q3 report on the Eastside Office Market highlighted ByteDance’s expansion at Key Center tower. The Beijing-headquartered parent company of TikTok committed to doubling its footprint, securing an additional 66,000 square feet of office space in the same location until 2025. ByteDance had already leased 44,000 square feet from SAP Concur within the Key Center tower at that time.
Permits issued by the City of Bellevue in January 2024 revealed ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, pursuing tenant improvements at Lincoln Square North. The space they leased spans floors 23 through 28, totaling more than 132,000 square feet.
In April 2024, the Savills Q1 2024 office report revealed that ByteDance expanded its office footprint in Bellevue at the Key Center Building on 601 108th Avenue Northeast. The new lease added 45,078 square feet to their existing presence, which already occupied approximately 110,000 square feet at Key Center.
