Japanese Eatery, Tendon Kohaku, Now Open in Bellevue

Tendon Kohaku Bellevue

Bellevue recently welcomed a new addition to its culinary scene with the opening of Tendon Kohaku, a Japanese restaurant specializing in tendon. Located at 233 106th Avenue Northeast, this establishment marks Tendon Kohaku’s debut in the United States, following successful ventures across Asia and Canada. The restaurant is a collaboration between Nadai Fujisoba and Kings Know Group, both well-known in Japanese cuisine.

Tendon Kohaku distinguishes itself with a menu centered around tendon, a traditional Japanese dish featuring crispy tempura served over rice. The offerings include a variety of tendon rice bowls.

Diners can indulge in options like the Kohaku Tendon, which includes golden battered prawns, squid, French beans, pumpkin, chicken breast, and crab meat stick atop Hokkaido-grown rice, accompanied by a choice of signature or spicy sauce. The menu also features udon dishes such as spicy udon, carbonara udon, and katsu curry udon. Appetizers like chawanmushi, spicy karaage, and salmon handroll add to the dining experience.

To celebrate its launch in Bellevue, Tendon Kohaku has introduced a special promotion: the first 100 dine-in customers ordering a Set meal will receive a complimentary matcha ice cream.

At Tendon Kohaku, the mission is to honor Japanese culture through the selection of premium, locally sourced ingredients and the application of innovative cooking techniques. They are also committed to delivering outstanding value and service.

Previously planned as a dumpling restaurant, the space has been transformed into Tendon Kohaku. The fast-casual dumpling restaurant had completed signage on the outside of the building and the interior space had been making progress.
