La Mar Bellevue begins offering lunch service on Thursday, December 12th. Lunch will be available every Thursday and Friday from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

This new lunch service allows guests to enjoy popular dishes from La Mar’s dinner menu, including cebiches, tiraditos, causas, piqueos, and los platos, as well as some exclusive lunchtime items. New lunch options include a Lomo Sandwich featuring wok-stir-fried beef tenderloin, a Crab Sandwich with aji amarillo sauce, and chalaca.

In addition to the à la carte menu, La Mar offers a two-course “Executive Lunch” option for $50 per person. This option is ideal for corporate luncheons or client meetings. Guests can choose from a first course of either Cebiche Clásico, which includes local halibut, classic leche de tigre, red onion, and cancha; Aji de Gallina Empanada, aji amarillo chicken stew in a flaky empanada; or a Quinoa Salad with organic Peruvian quinoa, burrata, heirloom tomato, aji amarillo dressing, and balsamic.

For the second course, guests can select from Lomo Saltado, a wok-stirred beef tenderloin with tomatoes, red onions, jalapeño, potatoes, and rice; Pescado a lo Macho, which features grilled catch of the day with corn pepián, mixed seafood in macho sauce, and yellow rice; or Chaufa Aeropuerto, roasted pork belly with wok-fried quinoa and rice, shrimp omelet, and Nikkei sauce.

La Mar Bellevue is Seattle’s first fine dining Peruvian restaurant, offering a menu that highlights the diverse influences on Peruvian cuisine, including Incan, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese traditions. These flavors are paired with the fresh ingredients of the Pacific Northwest.

The restaurant was founded by renowned Peruvian chef and global restaurateur Gastón Acurio and is led by Executive Chef Kaoru Chang.

As a third-generation Nikkei [Peruvian of Japanese heritage], I look forward to sharing the exceptional diversity of my country’s traditional cuisine, which has been shaped by Incan, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese traditions over many centuries,” said Kaoru Chang, executive chef of La Mar Bellevue. “La Mar’s menu will reflect the global influence and melting pot of flavors in Peru, while also incorporating elements of the bounty found right here in the Pacific Northwest.”

La Mar Bellevue offers both indoor and outdoor seating, including a terrace, ceviche bar, and open kitchen. The space also features a seafood display and artwork from local Peruvian artists.

The Peruvian restaurant is located within the three-tower, mixed-use development West Main. La Mar joins other notable and soon-to-be-opening establishments at this development, including Tapster, a self-pour tasting room, Artly Coffee, which features Barista Bots for drink preparation, and Shoo Loong Kan, a popular Chinese Sichuan-style hot pot restaurant.
