Primos Lounge is planned to open at 1020 Bellevue Way Northeast, the location previously occupied by Stone Lounge before its eviction. According to a City of Bellevue permit, the new business will have a similar use as a restaurant/lounge, with no changes to the site’s parking lot.
The establishment will occupy 4,150 square feet and is currently being remodeled. KN Architects is leading the redesign of the space. Stone Lounge, the previous tenant, was a full-service bar and lounge that hosted both private and public events, before they were evicted.
We contacted the owner of Primos Lounge for information on the opening timeline but have not received a response.
Next to the new Primos location, a significant mixed-use development is underway at 1000–1100 Bellevue Way Northeast. The Bellevue North project, being developed by Wallace Properties, is planned to be completed in two phases.
The first phase of Bellevue North includes a two-building mixed-use project located on a 78,235 square-foot site. The larger of the two, Building A, will be a high-rise featuring 308 residential units with retail space on the ground floor. Building B will be a mid-rise with 158 residential units and retail space. Both buildings will share a parking podium with four levels of underground parking.
The second phase will cover the remaining 105,550 square feet and include two mid-rise buildings, Building C and Building D, with a total of 429 residential units. Phase 2 will also feature 23,683 square feet of retail and restaurant space, along with 474 parking spaces and seven affordable housing units.
The site currently houses a strip mall and a variety of businesses, including Wells Fargo, UPS, Panera Bread, Adventure Kids Playcare, and across the street, Umpqua Bank.
Another development recently receiving Design Review approval is the SRM Polynesia project on 102nd Avenue Northeast. This project, owned by SRM Development, includes the redevelopment of an existing condominium property into a six-story residential building with 166 units. The project will also include common amenities, 149 parking spaces, and enhancements to the surrounding sidewalks and landscaping.
The ground floor of the SRM Polynesia project will include an entrance lobby and a fitness room for residents.
The area surrounding Bellevue Way Northeast continues to see significant redevelopment, with the upcoming Primos Lounge adding to the growing number of businesses and residential projects in the area.
