The Bellevue Chamber of Commerce will hold its Legislative Kick Off event to start 2025. Scheduled for next Tuesday, January 7, this will take place at the Hyatt Regency Bellevue from 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. This gathering has been organized in partnership with ten other Eastside chambers of commerce.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with state legislators through three curated panels, each focusing on a vital aspect of public policy. These panels are designed to address key issues impacting local businesses and communities.

The first panel, focused on the state’s business environment and transportation infrastructure, will feature legislators Rep. David Hackney, Rep. Davina Duerr, Rep. Amy Walen, and Rep. Vandana Slatter. The discussion will be moderated by Colleen Kerr, a representative from Microsoft’s Government Relations team.

The second panel, which will center on fiscal policy and state budget matters, will include Rep. Drew Stokesbary, Sen. Manka Dhingra, Rep. Larry Springer, and Sen. Claudia Kauffman. This discussion will be guided by Guy Palumbo, Amazon’s Director of Public Policy.

The third panel, exploring workforce development, housing initiatives, and public safety, will feature Rep. Shelley Kloba, Rep. My-Linh Thai, Rep. Roger Goodman, and Rep. Debra Entenman, with Neil Strege, Vice President of the Washington Roundtable, serving as moderator.

Registration will remain open until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. PST. To learn more or to sign up for the event, visit Bellevue Chamber’s website.
