The Bellevue Collection is celebrating Lunar New Year, marking the start of the Year of the Snake. This holiday begins with the first new moon of the lunar calendar and is observed by many Asian communities, including Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese.
The 12-year cycle of the zodiac associates each year with an animal, and 2025 is dedicated to the snake.
The main celebration will take place on Saturday, January 25, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Bellevue Square featuring live performances such as martial arts demonstrations, traditional dances, musical acts, and visual arts presentations. Family-friendly activities will include arts and crafts, giveaways, and more.
From January 13 through February 2, Lunar New Year décor will be displayed throughout Bellevue Square along with an interactive screen in Center Court that showcases traditions from Chinese New Year, Vietnamese New Year (Tết), and Korean New Year (Seollal).
Traditional garments and artifacts can be found on display throughout the first level of Bellevue Square, plus a festive Lunar New Year backdrop in Center Court and three augmented reality photo opportunities.
Starting January 13, guests can visit Guest Services to pick up a snake craft and a lucky red envelope. One per person, while supplies last.
