Seldens, a family-owned business with a history in home furnishings, has opened its First Bassett showroom in Bellevue. This expansion brings the family’s presence in the region to two showrooms, with the other located in Tacoma, plus two Summer House outdoor furniture showrooms, and three Seldens showrooms.
The new Bellevue showroom is located at 11919 N.E. 8th St. and officially opened in mid-December 2024. A grand opening celebration was held January 11, 2025.
The Bellevue Bassett showroom features a curated selection of custom indoor and outdoor furniture, along with lamps, rugs, and mirrors. It showcases handmade American BenchMade furniture crafted from solid Maple and Oak. There are also multiple room arrangements in styles such as modern, mid-century modern, casual, and traditional.

Seldens has been in business since 1940, when Syd Selden opened a floor-covering store in Tacoma, now led by third- and fourth-generation owners. The Selden family first introduced Bassett furniture to their business in 2000, opening a showroom in Tacoma. As Bassett showrooms in Redmond and Tukwila closed, Seldens stepped in to fill the gap with the new Bellevue location.
