Doce Donuts, a family-owned craft donut shop, is opening a new location in Downtown Bellevue at 1015 108th Avenue Northeast, according to permits submitted to the city. This will be the company’s first Eastside location, following its existing shops in Fremont and South Lake Union.

Doce Donuts specializes in 24-hour raised brioche dough, allowing for natural fermentation to create a soft texture. The shop also offers a vegan version of its brioche-style donut, developed in-house to match the texture and flavor of its traditional donuts.

The menu includes Latin American-inspired flavors such as tres leches, passion fruit crème, churro dulce de leche, matcha crème brûlée, and chocolate Baileys. In addition to these, the shop will offer classic flavors and rotating seasonal specials.

The owners of Doce Donuts have a background in baking, with family roots in Argentina and Venezuela. They previously operated a family-owned bakery in Florida before relocating to Seattle. The name Doce, meaning “twelve” in Spanish, references Seattle sports go Seahawks and its “12th man” fanbase.

The new Bellevue location will occupy the former site of Café Cesura, a coffee shop that had been in business since 2011. Café Cesura closed in October 2024 after receiving a closure order for unpaid bills.

Adjacent to Doce Donuts, R + M Dessert Bar is slated to open within the coming months, and will offer late-night desserts, wines to-go, and packaged items such as cookies, granolas, gourmet nuts, and snack mixes.

An official opening date for Doce Donuts in Bellevue has not yet been announced.
