Seastar Restaurant and Raw Bar will hold a Rare Wine Sale on Saturday, May 17, and Sunday, May 18. The event will take place from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day in the Civica Room at Civica Office Commons, where the restaurant is located.
The wine sale is led by Erik Liedholm, Seastar’s Wine Director and Partner. Liedholm has received several awards, including Sommelier of the Year from Seattle Magazine and the Washington Wine Commission, as well as the Walter Clore Award for contributions to the wine industry.
The sale will include a large selection of rare and well-known wines. Some of the featured wines are white Burgundies, Champagnes, Bordeaux, Super Tuscans, and wines from California. Many of these wines are not normally available for public sale.
Some of the producers featured in the sale include well-known names from around the world: Burgundy wines from Comtes de Vogüé, Raveneau, Dauvissat, and Coche-Dury; Champagnes from Jacques Selosse and Agrapart; Italian wines from Ornellaia and Gaja; and California wines from Harlan Estate and Williams Selyem. Washington producers will include Leonetti Cellars and Quilceda Creek.
During the event, guests can speak with Erik Liedholm and his sommelier team, taste select wines, and receive recommendations. All wines will be priced below their current market value, close to the original purchase price.
