
Sookdal Premium Korean BBQ is set to open its first Washington location in Downtown Bellevue. The restaurant will be located at MARI Bellevue, a luxury residential building at 10232 Northeast 10th Street. The location is adjacent to Omo Thai Tea, which recently opened in the same building.
The new restaurant has submitted permit applications, including plans for plumbing work.
Sookdal is a global Korean barbecue franchise that began in Seoul, South Korea in 2014. The brand has since expanded to more than 40 locations across Korea, Japan, the United States, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, and Indonesia.
The menu will feature dry-aged beef and wet-aged pork, designed to serve up to four people per table. Side dishes will include items like soybean noodles, spicy seafood stew, and odeng soup.
The restaurant’s future home, MARI Bellevue, is a boutique luxury condominium with 138 residential units. The development includes one-, two-, and three-bedroom residences and offers three levels of underground parking with 160 stalls. Building amenities include a rooftop SkyClub with a full kitchen and fireplace, a SkyDeck with grilling stations, a fitness center, yoga studio, and 24-hour concierge service.
Nearby, Omo Thai Tea recently opened in the same building. The shop offers a menu centered around Thai tea made from Ceylon black tea, combined with milk and sugar, along with soft serve options.
An opening date has not been announced.
