Hästens, the Swedish family-owned luxury mattress and bedding company, has opened its first Washington State location with a new showroom in downtown Bellevue. The store is located on the retail level of One88, the luxury condominium building along Bellevue Way.
The Bellevue opening marks Hästens’ first official flagship in the Pacific Northwest and its 19th location nationwide, joining stores in Florida, California, Texas, Washington D.C., Boston, and New York.
The new showroom introduces Hästens’ latest retail concept and features a curated selection of beds, retail merchandise, and the company’s signature Sleep Spa experience. The Sleep Spa is designed to help guests find a bed that fits their individual sleep needs.
Founded in 1852, Hästens has built its reputation around craftsmanship and the use of natural materials. Each bed is handcrafted in Köping, Sweden, using sustainably sourced horsehair, organic cotton, wool, flax, and slow-grown Swedish pine.
The brand now operates in more than 45 countries and is an official purveyor to the Royal Court of Sweden.
Hästens mattresses are priced significantly higher than standard mattresses due to their handcrafted construction, natural materials, and luxury positioning. Entry-level models typically range from $7,000 to $15,000, while many of the brand’s most popular mattresses fall between $20,000 and $60,000.
The company’s ultra-luxury and bespoke designs, including its flagship Grand Vividus, can reach hundreds of thousands of dollars, with some models reported at $400,000 or more for highly customized versions.
In conjunction with the Bellevue opening, Hästens has partnered with Penelope & The Beauty Bar at The Fairmont Olympic Hotel to offer a limited-time customized Oxygen Dome Facial through a Hästens Pop-Up located inside the spa.
The 120-minute facial combines oxygen infusion, stem cells, caviar extract, and niacinamide. The treatment follows a multi-stage process that includes deep cleansing, precision exfoliation, targeted infusion, lifting massage, microcurrent therapy, and oxygen treatment.
Each facial is performed on a specialized Hästens treatment bed.
According to Hästens, the treatment experience is intended to provide weightless support, exceptional alignment, nervous system relaxation, and a deeper level of restoration. The service is available for a limited time.
