TOM BIHN has closed its retail store at Bellevue Square. The company announced on Instagram that Sunday, January 25, was the store’s final day of operation.

In its announcement, TOM BIHN stated that the closure was due to the end of its lease. The company thanked the community for its support and noted that it plans to carry forward lessons learned from the Bellevue location as it continues to operate and develop its factory showroom and future stores.

TOM BIHN opened its Bellevue Square location in 2024 on the first level of the shopping center. The store measured approximately 1,450 square feet and marked the company’s first retail storefront outside of its factory showroom.

The opening followed the company’s decision two years earlier to extend its lease on its 22,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Seattle’s SODO neighborhood for another 10 years.

At the time of the Bellevue store opening, CEO Cindy Guan described the expansion as a milestone for the Seattle-based company and an opportunity to further connect with the local community through a retail presence.

Founded in 1972, TOM BIHN is known for producing durable and functional bags. The company designs and manufactures its products in-house in Seattle using premium materials.

Its production team includes approximately 70 artisans, and products are tested for durability and functionality. TOM BIHN offers a lifetime warranty on its bags.

The company has not announced plans for another retail location at this time.
