
Bill Gates listed one of his properties in Medina along Lake Washington on February 5, 2026, for $4.8 million, and the home has since gone pending as of February 11.
The property, located at 1810 73rd Ave. NE in Medina, sits adjacent to Gates’ primary lakefront estate known as Xanadu 2.0. Property records show the 66,000-square-foot main residence was last appraised in 2025 at $132 million, with a tax-assessed value of approximately $171 million when including surrounding parcels.
According to listing details, the home currently for sale is a 2,780-square-foot traditional-style residence situated along Lake Washington. The four-bedroom, three-bathroom house sits on a 0.4-acre lot and includes deeded water access and beachfrontage.
The residence features lake, city, and mountain views from its hillside setting. Interior spaces include living and dining areas that open to an outdoor entertaining space, an updated kitchen with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, and an eat-in bar overlooking the lake. The primary suite includes a private deck, a walk-in closet, and an updated bathroom. The lower level offers three additional bedrooms, a full bath, a laundry area, and access to the backyard.
The home was originally built in 1953 and underwent a remodel in 2002 after Gates acquired the property. King County permit records estimate construction costs for the renovation at approximately $311,000.
Property records show Gates purchased the home in 1995 for $1 million.
