The Bellevue Collection is expected to be formally listed for sale in early November, Kemper Development Company confirmed. Jennifer Leavitt, Kemper Development’s senior vice president of marketing, said the company expects the marketing information for the property to be finalized very soon.
The listing is the next step in a process that began Aug. 28, when the Freeman family announced it would explore a sale of The Bellevue Collection. In September, Kemper Development hired Eastdil Secured Savills to lead the sale. The firm’s executive chairman, Roy H. March, said the property will be marketed to buyers globally.
The Bellevue Collection covers more than 5.5 million square feet in the core of Downtown Bellevue. It includes Bellevue Square, Bellevue Place, Lincoln Square North and South, three office towers, three hotels, luxury apartments, two movie theaters and more than 200 stores, restaurants and entertainment venues.
Kemper Development has not announced an asking price, a valuation or a timeline for bids.
The next owner will also decide what happens to The Bellevue, a planned mixed-use expansion at 401 Bellevue Way NE expected to cost more than $1 billion. In September, Kemper Development put the project on hold indefinitely and said it would not move forward under current ownership.
The properties continue to operate normally during the sale process, and events such as Snowflake Lane will go on through 2026.
