Bellevue-based developer, Fortress Development, announced today that Chef Joshua Skenes will be bringing his sealife-focused restaurant, Angler, to the two-tower luxury development, Avenue Bellevue. The opening date is projected to be in late 2021.
Chef Joshua Skene’s background includes 3-Michelin stars, the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, Food & Wine’s “Best New Chef”, and Elite Traveler Magazine’s “15 Most Influential Chefs of the Next Decade”. Skenes is known for cooking over an open fire and using the best products available. Chef Joshua feels that “with the abundance of some of the best natural food resources in the country, the Pacific Northwest offers the ideal environment for a restaurant menu dictated by the best of what nature provides on any given day.”
According to Principal and CEO of Fortress Development, this will be the first restaurant in the Pacific Northwest from a Michelin 3-Star chef.
Avenue Bellevue, which will be located in downtown Bellevue on the corner of Bellevue Way and Northeast 8th street, will have 332 luxury residences, as well as 85,000 square feet of high-street retail, food and nightlife. There will also be the Pacific Northwest’s first Intercontinental Hotel, with 252 hotel rooms, full-service spa and fitness center, meeting space and more.
Weber Thompson, Collins Woerman Architects and Hirsch Bedner Associates have designed this project. Residential sales will begin in early 2019. The Avenue Bellevue condo renderings were released last week. The project is set to break ground in mid-2019.
