The Bellevue Arts Museum Arts Fair 2020, which was scheduled for July 24-26, has been canceled. According to a press release, this decision has been made in light of Washington State’s newly announced “Safe Start” plan, and in the interest of keeping artists and community members safe.
The Museum’s Executive Director, Benedict Heywood, explained that “with the constantly changing nature of the current situation and with respect for the concerns voiced by artists, partners, and community members, we feel it is in everyone’s best interest to cancel this year’s event.”
Three separate fairs are normally featured; Bellevue Arts Fair, which would have been in its 74th year, 6th Street Fair, and Bellevue Festival of the Arts. This is one of the largest arts and crafts fairs in the Pacific Northwest.

While understandable, this is a very sad event to see cancelled. Is there a way to have past former artists’ websites made available ( via BAM ) so that people could still purchase items and support the artists ? I am sure that this is occurring in responsible states all over the country and they could use the income.
I agree with the comment above; it would be wonderful to have a comprehensive list of artists websites and/or contact information. This is my favorite event each year and would love to support this community. Thanks!
I am a artist that was supposed to be showing in the Bellevue show this year. I have not received any information as to what is going to happen to my booth fee. Nor did I even receive an email saying the show was cancelled! Although I assumed it was. I will be happy to have that fee applied to next years show but so far I have not received any correspondence . Please advise, thank you!
