Businesses are now getting ready to re-open with Phase 1.5 approved. With certain safety measures being required, King County has acquired thousands of items of personal protective equipment including masks and hand sanitizer. The Bellevue Chamber is helping to lead this effort to distribute these items countywide.
According to a press release from the Bellevue Chamber, the Chamber will act as a hub and is working with local businesses to help facilitate distribution once supplies are in hand. The Bellevue Chamber is working alongside other local chambers like Kirkland, Mercer Island and Issaquah, to ensure their communities have a local partner to help access personal protective equipment.
Both in-person pickup and delivery will be offered. Organizations that are interested in receiving supplies should complete the online request form.
“This is a tremendous opportunity to provide Eastside businesses and nonprofits the supplies they need quickly, and without cost,” said Chamber Board Chair John Milbrath. “We are incredibly grateful to Executive Dow Constantine for his swift action to support local businesses and for the ongoing partnership the Bellevue Chamber has with King County government.” Bellevue Chamber member Delivery Express has also volunteered to help with the Chamber’s distribution efforts.
The Bellevue Chamber is located at 330 NE 112th Avenue, Suite 100. Visit their website for additional information.
