No city is complete without a hot dog stand, and starting in October of 2009 G&G Dogs hot dog stand entered onto the corner of NE 8th St & 106th Ave NE. The stand, which is set up every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11am – 2:30pm, is run by 2 local partners.
The hot dogs that are offered include Beef, Veggie, Polish, Hot Link, and more. Prices are $4 – $5 for each hot dog. According to one of the owners 90% of the traffic that comes to the stand is from foot traffic.
In March the business is planning to set up an additional location at “Compass Square,” right outside of the Galleria. The new stand is planned to be open all days of the work week, Monday – Friday. Now Bellevue can sleep at night knowing that it has acquired a hot dog stand.

I wish they’d open back up to serve the late night bar going crowd….
I 2nd that JS. The parking lot north of C&B. 11-2:30AM….I would walk from my place in downtown just because it was there….not counting the 2:00 bar crowd (which Im part of at times 🙂
A few years ago we had a Matt’s Famous Chili Dog’s on 110th I believe. Right down the street from the Yen Lui photo studio. It was torn down along with a few others to build a parking lot.
I’m glad that Bellevue has a hot dog stand, but it can never fill the void left by the loss of Matt’s Famous Chili Dogs.
@Garrett That’s right, I remember Matt’s…although I only went there a couple of times it was great little spot!
@JS, I think a late night hot dog stand would do very well on floor 1 of Lincoln Square on Friday and Saturday night. Unfortunately I doubt that Kemper Development Co. would go for that.
I had one of these the other day and it was delicious! We need more food carts – more under-$10 options. The more business these guys get, the more of them there will be. So leave your lunch at home and support the carts! And Skillet!
“No city is complete without a hot dog stand.”
LOL! I can just see it now… the mayor of Bellevue with some pals from the Golf Club at Newcastle, chowin’ dog… and saying, a la Jerry Maguire:
“You… complete me.”
GREAT to see this as well! Perfect for on the run at lunch. A late night on would be great too
